In celebration of the 7th anniversary of L’Oréal Citizen Day, L’Oréal Hong Kong held two days of coastal cleanup sessions in Ting Kok and Starfish Bay on 7 & 14 Oct, partnering with Green Power.  Some 380 staff volunteers from Hong Kong local market, Travel Retail APAC, and The Body Shop participated to collect a total of 320.5 kg of garbage from the two beaches.  Over 88 kg of recycled materials were collected, which include plastic, glass and metal that can be recreated into new materials for the sake of environmental conservation. Under the guidance of Education Team of Green Power, volunteers also took part in the eco tours allowing them to learn about the coastal habitat around the coastlines, thus motivating colleagues to protect our natural environment.

Citizen Day is a global L’Oréal initiative to encourage employees to get involved in good causes and give back to the community, as we believe “We all have a role to play!”
